Lions camp Crossing Borders 2019
Clothing advise : take a warm sweater and a raincoat with you, and swimming clothes. The weather in the Netherlands changes a lot because ot the western winds from the North Sea. Be prepared for warm (max 30 degrees), but also for cold days (minimum 17 degrees) and rain. Bedlinen and towels are provided for in camp.
All activities will be arranged by local Lions clubs.
Out of courtesy: Do show them your appreciation at the end of each activity.
Country presentations will be held in the evenings. Have an impression of your country with photo’s ready (in powerpoint is perfect) on a USB stick when you leave for the Netherlands.

The camp programme is as detailed below::
Sunday 21st of July: Official Opening of Camp, Discover the surroundings and introduction activities.
Monday 22nd of July: Lions Boca Oldenzaal organises- Climbing of tower Plechelmus basiliek, Game from the past: Klootschieten
Tuesday 23rd of July: Lions Club Delden will take care of the day, which will entail a farm visit, lunch at an English garden and an activity at Climbing forest in Ruurlo. In the evening a taster of Dutch Pancakes and a dutch language class and 1st country presentations.
Wednesday 24th of July: Lions Club Enschede prepares for a visit to Grolsch Veste, the home of football clubTwente) followed by a guided tour in the Grolsch brewery.
Thursday 25th of July : Lions Club Hengelo is looking after you in the afternoon and is taking you on a City biketour to some typical places of interest in the Hengelo surroundings, a workshop street art, some skateboarding and climbing of a church tower.
Friday 26th of July: Lions Club Hengelo is responsible for a canooing tour and a high rope circuit. The evening is reserved for some international cooking.
Saturday 27th of July: Lions Club Twente-Munsterland will take you on a walking city in Germany Munster, a visit to the Rock & Pop museum and the recording of We are the world’
Sunday 28th of July: We Serve on the heath by Lions Club Haaksbergen, followed by a film about a waterpark and some activities.
Monday 29th of July: Old fashioned games & farmers golf or learning about making Dutch cheese
Tuesday 30rd of July: Place today will be Utrecht, afternoon Bossabal, packing up farewel dinner and karaoke night.
Wednesday 31st of July: final day for cleaning, packing and travel to Schiphol Airport. Farewell.
