Camp CO 2024 -
Welcome in one of the nicest regions of the Netherlands! The Limburg Province, often referred to as “the most international and hilly part of the Netherlands where the best local foods are served”! 7 Lions clubs, based in the most Southern part of the Netherlands, developed a joint program that shows the camp participants a view on “bridging between cultures, society and environment”! Since the Netherlands is famous for its water management, we will also embed participants with lots of “waterfun”. The name of the camp: “Charlemagne” stands for the historical and cultural parts of the famous stories around the community of Maastricht and surroundings. In summary, a camp, learning experience where lots of fun, culture, sports, and internationalization come together!
Camp Charlemagne: Get to know the beautiful surroundings, history and international setting of Maastricht
Central themes: The Netherlands, famous for its water management, Maastricht and surroundings: Bridge between cultures, society and SDG’s
Clothing advise: take a warm sweater and a raincoat with you, and swimming clothes. The weather in Holland changes a lot by the western winds from the Northsea. Be prepared for warm (max.30 degrees), but also for cold days (minimum 17 degrees). At camp bedlinen and towels are provided for, but do take towels with you for your homestay. A bit selfsupporting is nicer.
